For all kinds of transport projects like motorways and federal highways, railway tracks, airports, channels and locks, environmental impact assessments are conducted. FFH impact assessments and technical papers in reference to protection of especially and severely protected species often follow. Most of the projects require beyond the mapping of biotopes and habitats detailed surveys of animals and plants.

Prior to concrete planning of location and cable a feasability study in consideration of ecological interests is required.

The Planungsgemeinschaft LaReG develops within the scope of regional planning or planning approval procedures environmental impact surveys for natural gas, oil and further product lines, cavern storages, burried cables, biogas plants and wind and solar power plants. Further expert opinions comprise regional sensitivity studies, FFH impact assessments, technical papers with reference to the legal protection of species as well as a judgment and estimation of environmental impacts of route variants and the demonstration of measures on avoidance and decrease of impairments. Surveys of types of biotopes and habitats, animals and plants in terrestrial and limnic areas are conducted.

Our office prepares expert statements and plans for the improvement and relocations of water bodies, renaturation of water bodies, withdrawal of water and procedures concerning plot realignment. The surveys include mappings of water structures and passability of water bodies, animals and plants, limnological assessments and evaluations of impacts especially in respect of the Water Framework Directive. In some cases of previous projects landscape conservation plans and the planning of compensatory measures as well as measures on the improvement of the ecological state of the water bodies followed.

In respect of open space plans and the implementation planning we conduct design planning for water bodies and their border areas.

For the mining projects given below the main focus lies on the environmental compatibility and recultivation or renaturation respectively.

The extrapolation of soil and rock mining require mining plans with respective timely and spatial dedicated recultivation and renaturation measures concerning the period, extent and succession of sites. These plannings have, as well as the guidelines for site mining, the objective to keep conflicts between mining and the conservation of nature and landscape to a minimum. The Planungsgemeinschaft LaReG prepares the documents concerning nature conservation for the licensing of projects for cables and the use of regenarative energy sources.

Expert opinions and planning for a wide range of projects like business and industrial locations, golf courses or reforestations differ in the main focus of processing, scope and licensing procedure.

The Planungsgesellschaft LaReG develops feasibility studies, preliminary plannings and environmental impact assessments. In ecological sensitive landscape areas detailed surveys of protected biotopes, flora/vegetation and fauna are required.
